Here's My Story
I discovered my passion for helping others learn while tutoring a struggling classmate in high school. From that moment on, I honed my teaching skills – working in university tutoring centers and even teaching English abroad in Chile. These experiences inspired me to create The Village Tutoring, where I help students of all ages unlock their academic potential.
My background is as diverse as my clientele. A New Yorker with a vibrant Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban heritage, I’ve always been fascinated with the power of language and communication. My degree in Psychology and Linguistics, along with my experiences living and working in several countries, gives me a unique perspective that translates into personalized, effective tutoring strategies.
Beyond The Village Tutoring, I’m fascinated by the world of eLearning and help businesses and organizations design engaging online courses through my company, Jessica of All Trades.
Whether it’s one-on-one tutoring, course design, or even authoring a children’s book, my mission is simple: to empower others through education.
